What is Bacteriostatic Water?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water, meaning it has no live germs. It has a small amount of benzyl alcohol added, at 0.9%.

It comes in a 30 mL bottle. You can draw from it many times until the bottle is empty.

What it is used for

It is used to reconstitute peptides, which means mixing dry powder with liquid before use. Many peptides come as a powder and need this step. The benzyl alcohol in the water stops bacteria from growing, so the bottle can be used more than once.
