What is CJC-1295 (DAC)?

CJC-1295 is a peptide. A peptide is a very small protein. This one is made in a lab.

It copies a natural signal called Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone, or GHRH. GHRH tells the pituitary gland to let out growth hormone (GH).

DAC is short for Drug Affinity Complex. It makes the peptide last much longer. Its half-life is about 6 to 8 days.

• Growth hormone release. Labs study how it binds GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland.
• How DAC extends it. Studies look at how DAC sticks to albumin, a protein in blood.
• Muscle and tissue repair. Researchers study GH and IGF-1 levels linked to repair in lab models.
