What is HMG (Human Menopausal Gonadotropin)?

HMG is short for Human Menopausal Gonadotropin. It is a peptide blend, which means a mix of two hormones. A peptide is a very small protein.

The two hormones are FSH and LH. FSH is short for follicle stimulating hormone. LH is short for luteinizing hormone.

HMG is drawn from urine collected after menopause. It comes in a vial, a small glass bottle with a rubber top.
